Who’s Nick?
Nick is from Florida and received a degree in Industrial Design from Auburn University. He enjoys vintage advertisements, listening to Muddy Waters, challenging his friends to marbles tournaments, driving his VW microbus, and generally killing two stones with one bird. If he were elected president his first order of business would be to make amusement park rides 60 minutes long and the wait in line 2 minutes, instead of the other way around. He does not enjoy splinters, baking soda volcanoes, or sea monsters and is indifferent regarding sporks.
After graduating college, Nick worked for several years in the industry designing trade show exhibits along with interior displays and kiosks. Longing for the beach, he and his wife sold their house, quit their jobs and drove across the U.S. to the west coast where they flew to Hawaii.
He is continually studying the use of colors, text, shapes and materials around him to further his knowledge of art and design. Nick currently lives on the island of O’ahu, Hawaii where he designs scrumptious nuggets of art to share with his friends and complete strangers.
Contrary to popular belief, his name is Nick, not Jake. I guess he should’ve thought of that before he named the business. You can call him whatever you like. Maybe Vince McRaincoat. Serves him right.
What’s “Everything is Jake!”?
“Everything is Jake” is a saying from the early 1900′s which translates to everything is “fine” or “satisfactory.” Jake also happens to be the name of Nick’s devious & clever dalmatian.
