Last night my art was featured at Manifest for First Friday.  Thanks to everyone who came out and showed their support!

As an artist and designer, it’s not often you have a client that says- “Do whatever you want!”  In the case of Hendrick’s they did just that.  Dave from Hendrick’s (Who has the rad title of “Commander of Special Operations”) contacted me one day and basically said “Hey, I love your design style; let’s do an event together!”  I started the collaboration by designing him a fictional map of the “World of Hendrick’s” to which I believe he commented- “This made my brain spray out of my ears!”  I assumed that meant I was on the right track. 

I had an awesome time creating some delightful pieces for them that have a great vintage & whimsical feel.  Hope you enjoy them too!

Thanks to Hawai`i Magazine for including my work in this month’s editorial “20 Things We Love About Hawai`i Right Now”!!  They featured a couple of my favorites, the Haleiwa Town print and Na Pali Coast print.  Thanks Mae and Catherine!

Everything is Jake! made it in a couple of magazines this month!  First of all, congrats to one of our vendors, Stacey Nomura from South Shore Paperie, for being named Honolulu Magazine’s best stationery store! Her letterpress stationery has a great, timeless feel to it.   Our retro postcard set got a shout out, too!  The “Hana Highway” and “Haleakala Crater” prints were also featured in an interior design project in Maui No Ka Oi Magazine.  Check out the “East Maui Love” series prints in the Island Living section!
